Construction Update
We’re feeling fabulous. Check out these courts!
Woohooo! It’s beginning to look a lot like pickleball! Every day something new appears at Pickle at the Palms. It’s pretty amazing and we can’t wait to share it with you. So let’s take a look, shall we? First, we have courts. The courts at The Palms are a plexi cushion court surface which is a blend of rubber and paint, applied in many individual layers. The court surface is designed to support bounce consistency while being easy on human joints. The first three images below give a snapshot of the courts on Level 3. You can see that the fencing is being installed, and that court ID signage is in place. That plywood on the courts is there to protect the surface as other work is being completed. There are 10 courts on this level.
The Loft lounge is located on the mezzanine level of the building, overlooking the first level of courts. You can catch a glimpse of The Loft in the fourth photo – looking sharp! The Loft will be a space for hanging out and watching the action, relaxing, answering that pesky email or hosting an event. Events in The Loft can include up to 45 people with catering by Mainstay Provisions at The Palms. Yum!
Below, in the fifth photo, you can see the entry into Mainstay Provisions at The Palms and some of the grab-and-go coolers that you’ll pass as you approach the main service area.
And have you seen the mural brightening up 15th Avenue? If you’ve missed the installation, you can catch right up by watching this time lapse video of the mural being installed. The mural is also pictured in the sixth photo.
The parking lot is almost ready for visitors with paving complete. The seventh photo below provides a look at just one portion of the lot. Over 50 cars will be able to park in The Palms’ private lot. There’s a reason to smile!

Looking ahead: July is BUSY. Building systems (HVAC, etc.) are being commissioned, level 1 courts are just about done, court fencing is being installed, and finishing touches are happening everywhere. Once the building is complete, we’ll be ready for our city department inspections – from electrical to the health department and more. After inspections are complete we can begin to move in furniture and train the team! We’re getting super close now!
