Membership 

The Palms pickleball center is open to the public. You don’t have to be a member to come play, but membership gives you access to discounted rates and advance booking windows.

  • Palms Core Membership – The Core Membership is a pay as you play option. 

  • The Open Play Pass (new!) – An add-on option where open play is INCLUDED!
  • The Rally Pass (updated!) – An add-on option where open play AND court reservations are INCLUDED!

The Palms Core Membership

To join as a member, you pay a low annual fee and then pay as you play. The rates you pay to play are discounted from walk-in, non-member rates. The goal is to create accessibility and availability for everyone.

Palms Core Members enjoy:
  • Court time at member rates.
  • A 7-day advance booking window for court reservations and open play.
  • Up to 4 court reservations on the books at a time.
  • No limit for open play reservations on the calendar.
  • First access to leagues and clinics. Registration opens to members before the general public.
  • Free PlaySight recordings. Replay your game, learn + improve.

Here’s what’s included in your Palms Core Membership:

  • Join + only pay when you actually play. A low annual membership fee. No initiation fee, no monthly fee. 
  • Member pricing – Enjoy member pricing for court reservations, open play, clinics, leagues and tournaments. See the Rates/Pricing section for member and non-member rates.
  • Booking window – Get organized with 7-day advance reservations for court reservations and open play. Members also enjoy advance reservations for clinics, leagues, and special events.
  • Court reservations – Core members can hold up to 4 court reservations at a time, always at member rates. Reservations are available from 7 am to 11 pm every day. 
  • Open Play – Core members can book open play sessions at member rates (no cap on # of reservations). Skill level-based open play sessions are held multiple times each day.
  • Free PlaySight recordings – Book a court, play, and a free video recording of your game will be sent directly to your phone from PlaySight. Learn more about PlaySight here.
  • The fine details – Annual memberships that were purchased prior to opening will renew on September 1, 2027.

The Rally Pass is a fixed-rate monthly subscription option available to Palms Core Members. Play open play, reserve a court, train on your own court – as often as you’d like. It’s all included!

The Rally Pass is $200/month.

Rally Pass holders enjoy playing all the time:

  • Court reservations included with their Rally Pass.
  • Open play sessions, included!
  • Training court fees – yep, those are included too!
  • All the benefits of their Core Membership!

The Palms will be offering a limited quantity of Rally Passes. So don’t dawdle!

What are the details of the Rally Pass? (Updated September, 2026)

  • The Rally Pass is an add-on option for Core Members who play frequently. Let’s dive into the details:
  • Court reservations and open play sessions are included with a Rally Pass.
  • One court reservation on the books at a time. As soon as you complete a reservation you can book again!
  • Training court fees are included with a Rally Pass. Book a court, work on your serves, or drill with other Rally Pass holders.
  • Rally Pass holders on a court do not pay for court time, but any non-Rally Pass holders will continue to pay their own per-person rate.
  • Three open play reservations on the books at a time. Just like with a court reservation, as soon as you complete one of your open play reservations, you can book another one!
  • 7-day advance bookings for open play and court reservations. This is the same as in your Core Membership.
  • All the benefits of the Core Membership!
  • The Rally Pass is an annual commitment with no “hold” periods, no cancellations and no refunds. It is charged each month, for 12 months from the Pass holder’s start date.
  • A limited number of Rally Passes will be sold. When they are gone, they are gone, and a waiting list will be created.
  • A member must purchase an annual Core Membership in order to be eligible to purchase a Rally Pass.
  • Junior Core Members may also purchase a Rally Pass. The $200/month Rally Pass price remains consistent for juniors and adults.

  • Open play sessions are included with an Open Play Pass!
  • Three open play reservations on the books at a time. As soon as you complete one of your open play reservations, you can book another one! Remember, open play sessions are held all day, every day at The Palms – lots of opportunity to play!
  • 7-day advance bookings for open play reservations. This is the same as in your Core Membership.
  • All the benefits of the Core Membership!
  • The Open Play Pass is a monthly commitment, not an annual commitment. 
  • A limited number of Open Play Passes will be sold. When they are gone, they are gone and a waiting list will be created.

Court Reservations

  • Each court reservation requires a minimum charge for 4 players with additional players (up to 8 total) charged on a per-person basis. 
  • Both members and non-members may reserve courts and open play sessions. Members can book further in advance and take advantage of discounted rates. Non-members can book 48-hours in advance.

Open Play Pricing

  • Open play sessions are 2-hour sessions, offered multiple times per day at different skill levels.
  • Sessions are structured with a rotation and limited to 6 players/court. For example, 24 novice players have one queue and rotate across 4 designated courts. 
  • It is common and expected for people to show up by themselves and play with strangers! No need to organize a group. 
  • Members and non-members are welcome to register.

FAQs

What if I am not ready to be a member? Can I still come play?

Yes. We warmly welcome everyone to play at Pickle at the Palms. Members do have priority access to programming as they may reserve courts and open play sessions 7 days in advance. They also enjoy lower pricing. We invite you to come play as a non-member and see if membership is right for you.

Quick notes for non-members:  Court reservations and open-play reservations are available with 48-hour advance registration. Non-members are welcome to join us for lessons, clinics, leagues, tournaments and events, on a space available basis. Programs offer varied registration periods for non-members.

If I purchased a membership before opening, when does my membership renew?

All memberships purchased prior to opening day will renew on September 1, 2027.

What is your initiation fee?

Zero! We don’t have one!

If I reserve a court, do my friends need to pay to play as well?

Yes. Everyone you invite to play with you (you may have up to 8 players on a court reservation total) will pay the hourly rate for the court reservation. Core Members will pay the member rate, Rally Pass holders will have their court reservation included with their pass, and non-members will pay the non-member rate. 

 

Do I have to be a member to register for the Beginner Series?

No! Our Beginner Series (learn to play) does not require a membership. It is a great way to see if you’d like to become a member though! 

Learn to Play

Is open play structured or free-form like the public courts?

Open play at The Palms is structured. A limit of no more than 6 players per court ensures that everyone gets to play A LOT and have a little bit of rest too. Open play is broken into two types of play. In level-based open play sessions you will need to have the required rating to play on that court, which could be a beginner level rating or a 5.0+ depending on the court designation. Social based open play is just that – SOCIAL! All levels of players play together in social open play, but it is still limited to no more than 6 players per court. Open play is offered every day, multiple times per day. This schedule may be adjusted as we learn what our community wants for an open play schedule.

Does sales tax apply to memberships?

Yes. Sales tax does apply to memberships. When you purchase your membership, you’ll see a line that reflects the 10.55% sales tax rate in Seattle.

If I purchased my Core Membership during the Early Bird Perks timeframe, can you remind me what my perks are?

If you joined The Palms before 7.15.26 (thank you for joining so early!):

  • Your first three open play sessions are on us!
  • Two FREE members-only summer events. Thanks to the members who came to our Summer Mixer on June 27th and our Sneak Peek Building Tour held on August 8.
  • Opportunity to be first in line for fall reservations! Court reservations and open play reservations will be available to members in August, 2026.
